ABOUT
Being a person of color, we know the struggle of two things guaranteed: finding foundations that match our exact skin tone, especially our undertones. AND also, finding beauty products that make us feel empowered. We are empowered by our uniqueness. We aren’t just the general mediums or the lights and the darks. There’s so much more to it. We come in different ages, sizes, shapes, skin tones, undertones, titles, cultures, illnesses, religions, degrees —- it’s endless. We are not a category. We are all beautiful individuals that deserve better. It’s time we have a brand that finally embraces our uniqueness & thus uplifts us for it.
MISSION
Growing up as a Muslim American from Bangladesh, I never saw my mother wear any makeup. She was always very embarrassed what the men in my family would say and what the people outside would think. My mothers love for beauty was always a hidden secret. She would buy lipsticks, eyeshadows etc, but not only did she not know how to correctly apply beauty products, but never wore them even after buying due to fear of judgment. This is a reality for many women of all ages all over the world.
That’s why I created Uddin Beauty. My mothers nickname is Beauty and our family’s last name is Uddin. Through Uddin Beauty, she no longer has to be afraid of how others will feel, but instead concentrate on herself feeling truly empowered for the first time in her life through our products. Despite her age now.
